Time change

Friends, please remember spring forward fall back. This weekend is a time change. Speaking of time change, there is a science fiction movie called Time Changer about a man who build a time machine in the 1800's and time travels to now. It is really funny.

Halloween is here

Out they go in costumes of monsters and all sorts of scary. Boys dressed as vampires. Girls are fairy princesses. People across our world celebrate the scary. Halloween is a festival for the ghostly goth near you. Hey, even Walmart is in on the act with caskets. Few remember that this celebration of all that is spooky and dark started on quite a different note. At one time Halloween was known as all souls day. A day when the dead were suppose to roam. People left food out for them - hence the trick or treat. Well, now little goblins go out to find candy.

wanna FATTEN your bottom line

There is an epidemic of obesity. Actually, pandemic is a better word. This is due to the unhealthy FAST FOOD diet of many americans. OK one way to cash in is to create products for this demographic. Future of fast food is that we will move away, from an unhealthy diet to one that is more whole some.

Time Warp

There is much to learn. Time warp how the brain creates the fourth dimension is about how we perceive temporal events in a chronological sequence. OK some say that time is not real, but I feel, it is. In fact, our world would not be possible without time.

NASA should skip moon?

OK an expert panel says NASA can skip moon, head for asteroids. Well, this does seems a bit strange. What are we going to do without our moon base and mars colony?

Rapture soon?

Rapture is a belief that God will come and take away Christians before things get too bad. While, I do believe in a Rapture, things will get a lot worse before God comes. OK some skeptics ask - where is the rapture found in the bible.

The truth is that the old testament was written in Hebrew, and the new testament in Greek. The word rapture comes from the Latin word raptare which means kidnapping. There is a word in the Greek new testament Haparzo that is similar. It is often translated as - catching away.

As for when the Rapture occurs. The Bible says.

Matthew 24:36 But of that day and hour knoweth no one, not even the angels of heaven, neither the Son, but the Father only.

↯Dow under 10,000

U+21AF.svgDow is going down. The sky high PE as in price/earnings ratio is one reason. Actually, as prices rose, the earning increase did not take place, instead earnings plummet as we sink ever more. Those with money to burn, need to learn to earn.

win7

Microsoft Windows 7 was released yesterday. I went to Office Depot yesterday and the place was so empty, the opposite of full. Five sales reps tried to tell me all about win7. They had on sales a Toshiba laptop with win7 and 320 gig hard drive, dual core processor all for $499. Please remember that back in 1995 when microsoft launched win95 there was a line out the door of people eager to buy it. That is what I can an epic win.

Google Dominates Search

Back in 2000 when Yahoo was king, few could see our world. Google dominates search with near 65%. Bing from Microsoft has less than 10% and Yahoo is now under twenty. This power make people aware. It is not like before when Microsoft seem so unbeatable. A tiny company can rise.

gas is up

Well, it is time to gas up your car. Actually gas is up - oil is over $82. They say it means economic recovery, but the real reason is that the dollar is down - again.

People we are being lied to. Back last year when gas shot up to over $4/gal it was said that speculators were the problem. There were those talking about shortages at gasoline stations. I believe we are running out of petroleum products. Future price of oil is much higher than now.

What recovery?

OK yes stock market was able to hold above 10,000 today, but for the average america no recovery is seen. Too early to declare recovery say analysts. Well, I should say. In fact, there is no recovery, but instead a bounce off the bottom as we prepare to go on.

Holes in our earth

Here are pictures of open pit mining. They make our once beautiful planet turn so ugly. Perhaps we can find a better way.

migraines are worse

brain photo

If you have a hangover and suffer from migraines, your gonna pay. People who drink too much suffer worse migraines. In an experiment with rats it was found that their sensitivity to brain pain was increase with addition of alcohol. In fact, many migraine sufferers report that wine can trigger the teichopsia attack. Their headaches were worse. Not sure of what aura of Teichopsia they did get.

FDIC in woe

During course of this year 99 banks have failed. All of them had their depositors money insure by FDIC up to $250,000. In contrast, only three banks total failed in 2007. Both Citigroup and Bank of America had huge losses this last quarter. They are the number one & two banks in size. FDIC is not in good health. People, our gov says all is fine, but I see a bank holiday in our coming years. The FDIC well is running dry and we are out of money.

record deficit

The record 1.4 trillion dollar deficit could have been more worse. Folks, the sky is not falling, but the US dollar is.

Back in 1929 with an ounce of pure gold worth approx $20 you could rent a room for one month. Well we can find that very same room and rent it using that exact same ounce of pure gold. Well, you see, gold is now over $1000/oz. The room is still the same, and the block of bullion is still the same, but the dollar is almost (not quite yet) worthless.

war crimes

UN human rights council on gaza war crimes is going on. There is an attempt by world powers to always be against the jews. Look at history, few people are as persecuted. In fact, the world of Abrahams two sons, Ishmael and Isaac, well the world has like one billion arabs muslims and ten million jews. This is an interesting statistic.

Netbook Nation

Folks we are becoming a netbook nation as sales of the ubiquitous small devices take over. Already, the news is that today dell is number three and acer is number two. At one time dell was number one in most countries in PC sales, but they miss the train. It has left the station and all the passengers are using netbooks.

Polaroid film coming back

They say - never say never. Well, Polaroid is rising from the ashes. Polaroid film is coming back strong. This is good news. For a while it seems digital cameras were taking over.

Are all eggs the same?

Well, some say that all eggs are same. However, I can get regular grocery store eggs for 88 cents a dozen, whereas organic ones cost me $4. That said, organic ones are grown in open range. For me they taste better than the commercial ones. It is now that many persons are worry about their health and try to get better food. I predict massive shortages of food in the future. Future price of our eggs is much higher. This is because eggs are the golden standard for protein. The protein in an egg is very easy to digest.

Financial System

People worry about what is ahead for our financial system. For example, they will ask questions about the bankrupt banks, over 100 this year alone. Also, many wonder if low interest rates will trigger inflation down the line in our financial system. This could hit people on fixed incomes hard, because social security is running out of money. Let's face facts because our prime rate is near zero.

russian economy in woe

Putin say russian economy will go down 7% percent this year. Folks, all this talk of an economic recovery is at best very optimistic, and at worse very erroneous. What we see in remote viewing is a complete collapse of the global financial system. This starts first in US as mortage meltdown takes down the banks and it spreads world wide, with a final devastation as systemic failure becomes worse than ever.

Stocks shaky

Stocks are on shaky ground as dow nears 10,000. I predict a dramatic drop in the dow come 2010. The market has been moving up. Well, the gov can prop up our dow, but reality will hit now.

Weak Dollar

There is a reason why gold is now over $1000/oz. OK one reason is a weak dollar. Back in 1929 an ounce of gold was approx twenty dollars an ounce. Well, you could back then with one ounce of gold rent a room for one month. In 2009 an ounce of gold is over $1000. And yes, you can still rent that very same room with that very same ounce of gold. What has gone down is the value of the dollar.

WHAT EVER - most annoying word

What ever is like you know the most annoying word in the English language. This is very interesting. I wonder when VALspeak became so common.

John Titor claims that in 2036 people do not use as much slang as now. It is my bet that in the days to come, we will see a lot more very annoying words, yeah what ever...

Gold at record high

Gold prices hit a record high today. Traditionally, gold is seen as a safe haven in a time of crisis. During the Great Depression, when many banks failed, USA gov made owning gold illegal to prevent people from buying it.

Well, we could see a repeat performance as guys run after the girl with golden hair. I am bullish on bullion and feel much gold will leave US borders. That is why US wants swiss gov to give it a list of all americans with gold in swiss. Future price of physical gold will rise.

Life after meteor

After a meteor killed dinosaurs 65 million years ago, life came back fast say men of science. Well, I am not buying it. The devastation would make life hard for a long time. Still, there are those who feel that all is well - even after a major catastrophe.

internet going down due to flu?

Young woman with protective mask standing in profile and in front of image looking at you and other three people with mask near her concept of protection from sickness photo

Experts are saying that the mexican swine flu H1N1 virus could take down the internet. This is not the reality I see. Although telecommuters could put a strain on the internet, but most work is text and the big bandwidth hog is HD movies. Placing restrictions on high quality video could allow more people to use existing capacity more effectively.

OK more companies gone

Mature woman reading the financial news photo

OK as more companies go belly up more jobs are gone. The skeptics that say all is fine need to wake up. What we face is harsh reality. Unless there are more jobs soon, the future is very grim.

Google's new search engine

Magnifying glass on dictionary page with the word 'search'. photo

Google rolls out a fresh new search engine. Folks this is so epic. Bing is now losing market share and may have trouble holding on.

OK my prediction is that soon both Microsoft and Yahoo go bye bye. John Titor said that neither company exists in 2036. This sounds like they are not going to do well in the next few years.

spending up or down?

They say personal spending is up due to the clunkers program. Well, I tell you that this is bunk. OK as more people lose jobs, spending goes down. Think of it this way. A restaurant has fewer customers, they buy cheaper plates and tip less. The result people are let go.

Telling me that all is fine will not wash. It is obvious that sales this coming Christmas will be just awful. Expect poor news.
