Actually, we do currently know that the use of concrete was common in roman empire. However, it went away... like in the middle ages. People do wonder why this is. Frankly, a lot of our knowledge was lost during what is known as the dark ages. Well, we might be going into another dark age soon. Let us hope that we are wrong.
