NASA stops work on ares rocket more lay offs in Huntsville, Alabama as our nation runs out of money. This was a heavy lifter designed to take us back to the moon. Yeah, and eventually to mars. However, we will not be going into space soon. It is just to expensive. This NASA hobby is for those who are very wealth and have power. Sad truth is that we will have neither in the days to come.

Former shuttle astronaut Charles F. Bolden could be the first black NASA chief. This could be the choice of Obama to head NASA. The space program has fallen on hard times. National priorities are more down to earth. Projects to fly a rocket to the moon may not be as important when we are in a severe economic recession.
