CGI faces an uncanny valley and it is creepy.  Often, the computer-generated people do seem so ominous.  Basically, they do not look real and can resemble a corpse. Yeah, they might also seem rather robotic in some mannerism.

Sadly, childless cities are common. Having a baby is simply too expensive. Also, people do not have any money. Most of those high paying high technology jobs were sent overseas.

Back in the 90's AOL totally dominated the internet, but they let their leadership position begin to slip away. Yahoo is a very similar case. People forget that the internet landscape was quite different in a previous era. Dial up modems were common. Mostly, people looked at boring text on slow loading web pages. Back then we did not view movies. It took hours to download a program.
