President Obama says we avoided a depression and that job losses are over. What we are told is that things are improving. Well, wish that were so. I see that change is coming. In the future people talk funny and sound strange due to a phenomenon that is new. This is called the Great America Vowel Shift. In Chicago we see the difference in voices. Funny as that is the old home of the prez.

Eggs in the future

Few things taste as good as farm fresh eggs. Yes, collected early in the morning. Fried over hot butter that is creamy. The taste is incredible and then some.

Future price of eggs is going to be much higher than now. This is due to shortages of grain. It takes a lot of corn to make one egg. For each pound of eggs calculate ten pounds of corn. In that future food will be scarce. My suggestion is the you get some hens for the eggs. It is possible to feed them on left overs.

Hens love to eat table scraps. Also their diet includes bugs and worms. They are not very picky and most of your food waste they can consume.

increase in exec pay

What we see is increases in exec pay. The rich man plays while the poor man pays. There is a push to move more factories overseas. The means less work in the coming year. I imagine this will lead to more cuts in wages.

A question, why are hybrid car prices up? And sales are falling down and then some... I mean very few hybrids were sold last year. For example, 290,232 hybrids cars, versus 413,625 Ford F150 pick ups.

Slang in the 1950's was different than now. Well, some words are familiar like cool and nice. However, "swell" and "neato" are used by few persons. 50's slang words belong in a record museum. Right next to the Elvis music.

Night and day for years it was the work of many programmers. Basically to fix a coding error. Not only was the code bad on old cobol mainframe computers, but even on new pc programs. Love this movie. Avatar is now number one. It has made history yet again. This is probably the best film from cameron. It is better even than the titanic movie. Well, now avatar is in the record books as top grossing movie ever.

China increases imports so oil prices rise. The day before yesterday for the first time time this year, I saw gasoline selling at $3.02 per gallon and it was a wake up. It is oil the fuels our world and supplies much of our power. The supply of oil is finite and we will see prices increase.

Latest news is that science says TENS does not work for lower back pain. I believe that electrical current and magnets can cause pain to ease. However, we are now seeing that things are such that big pharma claims other methods are bogus and should be halted at once.

This is sad since a nickels worth of electricity is often more effective that thousands of dollars worth of chemicals in finding a cure. I have suffered lower back pain. Well, one thing that helps is a cold compress. That helps numb the pain.
