Y2K scam?

There are those who say is was a Y2K scam. However, truth be told the computer six digit date problem was real and it could have cause major woe. Night and day for years it was the work of many programmers. Basically to fix a coding error. Not only was the code bad on old cobol mainframe computers, but even on new pc programs. OK so there was no scam.
