Bailout Blues

It be like Déjà Vu all over again, and then some. Well, even the sky is dark and gloomy, just like a Great Depression era movie. There are many economist who want a financial bailout alternative. A better way they say. That said economists against bailout have yet to present a better plan.

I predicted that the treasury auto bailout would be a failure. GM was a disaster even before our economic stimulus package was talked about. In fact, General Motors, maker of an iconic Hummer SUV, was making big expensive vehicles, when americans wanted smaller more efficient modes of transportation.

A much better use of money, would have been a residential mortgage bailout, so people did not lose their homes, but instead we have a TARP that gives billions to the banksters. They still fly their fancy executive jets and pass out million dollar bonuses composed of your hard earn money. Main Street is angry over the federal bailout of wall street, because there are billions for the banksters, but not a penny for the common people.
