Death of the hard drive?

I predicted that SSD (solid state drives) would replace HD. Well, now we find that the latest hard drives are so poorly made, that they are failing in large numbers. Seagate hard drives are so bad there is a flood of complaints from customers.

This might be a great time to switch to SSD, a far more robust device that is faster and uses less electricity than a multi platter hard drive. At least we can say that hard times are ahead for the hard drive.
