End of an age

Today Intel closed down its last manufacturing plant in the Silicon Valley. Manufacturing is leaving US workers high and dry. In fact, more plants are closing and leaving to foreign shores as the economic crisis increases its burden. It is far cheaper to operate in countries without environmental regulation, where workers have no rights, etc.

The question is what are we going to do about it? How are we going to deal with megacorps that take advantage of our laws to export high tech high paying jobs overseas?
