Sadly, the american recovery and reinvestment act AKA Obama Stimulus Package has not stopped unemployment from rising. This is because our economy is falling apart and ripping at the seams. OK as people lose jobs more businesses close and move employees are thrown out of work. Today our jobless rate rose to 9.7% a 26 year high. US gov is trying to put people to work. Perhaps a new stimulus bill can do that.
